I am an applied mathematician working in mathematical biology. I am interested in a wide variety of signaling systems. I am currently working on a research project involving modeling of channelrhodopsin (or various channelrhodpsins). In order to learn more about this area I would like to join the open optogenetics group. My credentials: Ph.D. in mathematics, University of Chicago, 2000; postdoctoral work at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies (La Jolla, Calif.) in the Computational Neurobiology Laboratory; currently Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Thanks!
